Central Board of Secondary Education Conducts CTET Exams. This is also know as central teacher eligibility test. This exam conducted twice a year in the month of February & September. There is good news for Students who want to opt for teaching jobs and who want to apply for CTET 2017 Examination, as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will soon release the results for Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2017 results. CBSE CTET 2017 Eligibility Criteria:

Sr. Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).  OR

Sr. Secondary (Or its equivalent)  with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure Regulations, 2002).

Sr. Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.   OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).   OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in education (Special Education).   OR

Graduation and passed or appearing for final year two year Diploma in Elementary education (by whatever name known).

Minimum Qualification for becoming Teacher for Class VI – VIII: Elementary Stage

Graduation and Passed or appearing for final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).   OR

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).   OR

Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing for 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.  OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing for final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary education (B.El.Ed).    OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing for final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc Ed or B.A.Ed/B.ScEd.   OR

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed (Special Education).

 About CTET Exam: Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test is the Teacher Eligibility Test for the students who have pursued or pursuing B.Ed or any other equivalent teaching programme. It is the qualifying exam for getting recruitment schools, private schools, Navodaya schools, Central School. Candidates those have qualified in the CTET will only be eligible to apply for recruitment in Government Schools. CTET is the mandatory eligibility exam for Teacher Recruitment. Every session approximately 10 lakhs candidates appear for CTET exam, the passing percentage of the CTET Exam is very low every year, and it has been observed that only 10% of candidates will be selected in the examination.
