The Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is a common entrance examination conducted by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA), under the guidelines of Karnataka Education Authority (KEA). The Examination will be conducted at various centers all over the country and it is a national level entrance test. Every time different university conducts this examination. Minimum qualification that is required is graduation or equivalent.

KMAT is an Aptitude Test will be conducted to fill the management quota seats of the self-financing university affiliated colleges and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved MBA and MCA Colleges. The KPPGCA was founded on 29 January 2003. The purpose behind conducting KMAT exam is to have a single unified test for admission into professional courses like MBA, PGDM and MCA, in the state of Karnataka. It provides proactive support to professional education, facilitates, and streamlines admission to postgraduate, professional courses. Around 170 institutions are under the fold of KPPGCA located across Karnataka and which are affiliated to respective universities in the state. A few of the famous institutions include Acharya Institute of Management & Sciences (AIMS), Alliance University, IFIM Business school, MP Birla Institute, M.S. Ramaiah, Mount Carmel, PESIT and many more.

KMAT 2020 Important Dates

The following is the tentative schedule for the all stages of the KMAT 2020 and the candidates are advised to keep them updated about the process of KMAT 2020.

Candidates have the option to apply Online or Offline mode.

KMAT Eligibility Criteria:

All the candidates appearing for KMAT exam can go through the criteria and must fulfill minimum requisite qualifications to be eligible for karnataka kmat exam results 2020 will be published in our official website

  • For KMAT MCA 2020, candidates must complete their graduation degree with 50% or more. They should have chosen Mathematics as main subject either in their graduation or in 10+2.
  • For KMAT MBA 2020, they must have completed a graduation degree in any stream. Candidates belong to SC/ST Category should have secured  40% or more to apply forKMAT 2020. The eligibility and relaxation for reserved category are decided as per UGC guidelines.
  • Candidates in their final year of Bachelor’s degree can also apply for KMAT 2020, provided they must have complete their Bachelor’s degree before the time of KMAT Admissions and should produce all necessary documents required for admission. the results will be published in our official website

Eligibility for KMAT 2020:

Entry requirements into professional courses like MBA/PGDM/MCA in Karnataka are followed as per the UGC guidelines.


Bachelors degree with minimum 3 years duration/ Masters degree examination of any recognised education body in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering/ Technology or equivalent, and have secured at least 50% of marks in the aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidate). Candidates in their final year of bachelor’s degree are also eligible.


Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks. Candidates should have studied Maths at 10+2 stage or at graduation level.
