Punjab Board Class 12th Results 2018:
The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has declared the results of the class 12th Sr. Secondary Education(PBSSE). The date of release, however, has not been mentioned on the official website nor has any board official confirmed. The Board every year organise a press conference where they announce the results and the toppers’ names. Candidates can check the PSEB website to download the results on 28th April 2018. Punjab Class 12th Results Pass percentage Criteria:
The pass percentage this year stands at 62.36 percent which is lower than the last three years. Last year, the PSEB class 12th results had a pass percentage of 76.77 per. Securing the top rank is Amisha Arora of RS Model senior secondary school in Ludhiana. She has managed to score 98.44 per cent in the PSEB SSE class 12th exams results. She is closely by Prabhjot Joshi who has bagged the second rank with a 98.22 per cent and Ria of Tagore school, Gurdaspur, is third in the state with 98 per cent marks. About 2,44,487 students passed the 2017 exams out of the 3,18,453 students who appeared for the paper. Last year’s result also shows that girls scored a pass percent of 84.3 per cent, faring better than boys who scored 71.12 per cent.

The Punjab School Education Board was established in 1969. It works for the development and promotion of school education in the Punjab. The board covers almost every aspect of school education and one of them is to make necessary arrangements for smooth conduct of public examination at school level. the Punjab School Education Board was granted autonomous status in the year 1987 through an amendment passed by the state legislative assembly. The Punjab School Education Board regulatory authority in the state that drafts and implements education policies in the affiliated institutions in the state. Its functions include conduction board examination at secondary and Higher secondary level, prescribing the syllabus and courses and textbooks.
