West Bengal Madhyamik Pariksha 10th Time Table 2020:

West Bengal Class 10 Madhyamik Pariksha, also known as Secondary Examination (SE) or Class 10 will start on February 18th , 2020 and continue till February 27th , 2020,according to the Time Table released by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) on its website.

The timing of the paper will be from 11:45 am to 03:00 pm. First 15 minutes will be for reading the questions papers, West Bengal Board of Secondary Education said in a statement.

“Examination is Shorthand and typewriting will be held at Kolkata and Siliguri only. Examination in Sewing and Needle Work will be of four hours whereas examination in Music Vocal and Music Instrument will be of two hours duration and will be held at Kolkata, Burdwan and North Bengal regions only. The venue and date will be announced later”, the board said.

“The Computer Application theory exam will be of two and half hours duration. Practical exam of Computer Application will be taken by individual schools”, the board said.

Meanwhile, the West Bengal board has also decided to open Question Paper packets in front of students. “From 2020, the sealed question packets of Madhyamik examination (class 10 board exam) will be opened by invigilators in front of students in the examination hall and distributed accordingly,” board president Kalyanmoy Ganguly said.

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education was established through the West Bengal Secondary Education Act, 1950, though it started functioning only around the year 1951. It is entrusted with responsibilities such as providing the curriculum for affiliated schools, monitoring the implementation of education policies and conducting yearly West Bengal Board Madhyamik Examination.

•Now click on “Link” to download the time table
•After downloading take a print out of it and start preparing for the examination.

* First Languages : Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Modern Tibetan, Nepali, Odia,

Gurmukhi (Punjabi), Telugu, Tamil, Urdu and Santali.

** Second languages:    1) English, if any language other than English is offered as First Language.

2) Bengali or Nepali, if English is the First Language.

(a) Examination in shorthand & Typewriting will be held at Kolkata and Siliguri only. The venue and date will be announced later.

(b) Examination in Sewing and Needle Work will be of four hours fifteen minutes duration.

(c) Examination in Music Vocal & Music Instrumental will be of two hours fifteen minutes duration for

Theoretical Portion. The venue, date and hour of the Practical Examination in these subjects (which

will be held at Kolkata, Burdwan & North Bengal Regions only) will be announced later.

(d) Examination on Computer Application will be of two hours forty five minutes duration on theoretical

Examination. Practical Examination on this subject will be taken by individual schools.

(e)  Examination on Vocational Subjects (under NSQF Project) will be of one hour forty five minutes

duration on theoretical Examination. Practical Examination on these subjects will be taken by the

Sector Skill Council or individual schools.
